This statuette of a graceful woman is reproduced from a woman\u2019s marble statue (Aphrodite) of the end of the 2nd century and the beginning of the 1st century BC, found at the excavations of Artashat. The statue is a highly artistic piece of the late Hellenistic period discovered in Armenia. The woman is shown standing and wearing a fine chiton, which is tied with a thin belt under her breast and slid down, uncovering her left shoulder.
