The string of beads was found from the archeological ecavations of Lchashen in 1956.
34,000 AMD
15th-14th century BC, Lchashen
This object is made in the likeness of a golden string of beads discovered during the Lchashen excavations in 1956. The string of beads consists of 28 beads, 22 of which are cylindrical beads made by joining together small gold spheres. The largest spherical bead at the centre of the necklace is made by joining two gold plate hemispheres. A decorative cord is placed at the junction of the hemispheres. In parallel, a single band of gold grains is made on each hemisphere.
One of the cylindrical beads stands out for its splendour and decoration. At the point where the two hemispheres of the bead meet, there is a slightly flattened gold wire with a spike-like surface.
