Description

The four-sided stele-boundary stone was erected during the reign of King Artashes I (189-161 BC). The upper part of the stele resembles the crown of the kings of the Artaxiad dynasty. The obverse has an Aramaic inscription consisting of five lines. “Artashes, King, Yervandid, son of Zareh, divided the land into parts”.
