Doll “Cilicia”

Description

Dolls had a unique role in folk culture. These were items of joy and entertainment, which had a ritual-symbolic meaning as well.19-20 centuries in the real stage of life, the puppets reflected the images of adults, assigning, special roles to the player and the puppets. Their outfit was repeated and presented in a new way the features of traditional national costume.
The presented doll is made with the examples of the traditional clothes of Cilicia. In the traditional dress of Cilicia, features characteristic of the clothes of different ethnographic groups
are observed. The traditional mens dress consisted of a shirt, outerwear, trousers and a belt.
