In Syunik and Artsakh, on the Friday before the feast of the Resurrection of Christ, they made eggs decorated with different coloured threads.
17,000 AMD
The egg, expressing the idea of rebirth, renewal and development of life, was hung in the most visible place on the wall of every house on the Easter holiday, known to us as “Easter-Resurrection.” Often it was attached to a colourful carpet on the wall. Ornaments woven with red, green, blue, yellow, and white threads gave power to the egg bearing the sacrament of the Resurrection.
