At the base of the specimen lies the coloured pitcher of clay, found in Etchmiadzin and belonging to the 19th – 18th centuries BC.
The coloured pitcher of biconical body has a short neck, a round lip folded outwards and a flat bottom. The upper part of the globular body has a band of alternating red and brown long-necked swan-like birds. Groups of red and brown wedge-shaped motifs hang above the row with birds. This central composition is framed with horizontal ribbon-like bands: red above and brown below.
